To coincide with the 75th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia today, Yamaha has started a series of Yamaha Generation 125 Esports Competition (YGEC 2020). An esports competition that competes Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as the main game.
The YGEC 2020 event is proof of Yamaha’s contribution to embracing the younger generation. Game fans can sharpen their competing skills even more through the things they are passionate about.
“Seeing the enthusiasm of the Indonesian people for esports, especially for the younger generation, Yamaha is holding an esports competition that can be followed for free as a form of support so that it can be a positive forum for Indonesia’s young generation,” said Yordan Satriadi as Deputy GM Marketing of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing.
The goal of holding YGEC 2020 is not only to channel interest and hone the skills of the younger generation in the field of competitive gaming. This online competition also pampers game fans, especially Mobile Legends.
The participants will later compete for the Yamaha FreeGo main prize and millions of rupiah in cash. This event will start its first match on 11 September 2020 and the final match on 13 September.
The YGEC 2020 tournament system will use a single elimination system with a Custom Draft Pick as the match mode. Each match applies the Best of One (Bo1) system from Qualification to Semifinal.
Meanwhile, Bronze Match will use the Best of Three (Bo3) system and Final Match will use the Best of Five (Bo5).
Through YGEC 2020, Yamaha invites esports fans, especially # Generasi125, to participate and have the opportunity to become the #MenangBanyak generation with MABAR (Play Together) in Mobile Legends.
1st place winner will get one Yamaha FreeGo unit (off the road). Winner 2 gets cash worth IDR 3,000,000. While the 3rd winner is entitled to a cash prize of IDR 2,000,000.
