First Warriors Championship Tournament Registration
First Warriors Championship
After successfully making the first esports talent search auditions in 6 major cities in Indonesia in the First Warriors first season in 2019, PT Link Net Tbk with the First Media brand has continued its big step in 2020 to support the development of the Indonesian esports ecosystem through the First Warriors Championship, which will be held from June to November 2020. This virtual esports tournament took place in 16 cities from 5 regions in Indonesia, including Java, Bali, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan, by competing 2 popular games today, Mobile Legends & Free Fire, for the sake of fighting for a total prize worth Rp100 million.
Unlike the previous season, at the First Warriors Championship, First Media will conduct a fundraiser in collaboration with BenihBaik.com, as a form of the spirit of unity of the organizers, event participants, and the wider community. PT Link Net Tbk’s President Director and CEO, Marlo Budiman, said that, “In an effort to support the call for physical distancing from the government and encourage the development of Indonesian esports during the COVID-19 pandemic, the First Warriors Championship which was a follow-up initiative from the previous season, was present to entertaining the esports lovers who until now have not been able to witness the live tournament. Apart from that, we also continue to forge partnerships with social institutions, which are of use to help various parties affected by the pandemic. “
Before COVID-19 became epidemic in the country, various national or international esports competitions were actively held live and grandly by several organizers of esports tournaments. This tournament is a spectacle and entertainment that is in great demand, especially for online game lovers. In order to continue entertaining game and esports lovers in Indonesia during this pandemic, virtual tournaments and streaming shows are the best choices taken in the First Warriors Championship program.
“In line with the government’s support for Indonesian esports, and seeing the enormous enthusiasm of the community for streaming and esports content, we are holding a First Warriors Championship with a wider range of regions and a long duration. The tournament will be held in the cities of Manado, Makassar, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Palembang, Batam, Padang, Medan, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Bali, and Jakarta.
The tournament is divided into 2 phases. The first phase will be carried out in cities from areas outside Java, and the second phase will be for cities in Java and Bali. Players or teams that qualify in the preliminary round in each region, will later compete again for the title in the Grand Final of the First Warriors Championship. For people who want to participate in or participate in this competition, registration for areas outside of Java is open starting on June 10, 2020, and for the island of Java will be opened in early July. Detailed information and registration for the First Warriors Championship can be accessed through firstwarriors.id.
“The funds raised from the First Warriors Championship donation program will later be multiplied by First Media to a maximum of Rp100 million, and are focused on supporting the development of e-learning in schools in the New Normal era. We hope that the First Warriors Championship can entertain all Indonesian people with a variety of interesting and informative entertainment and esports content, as well as building a spirit of unity to help one another deal with this pandemic.
